Muckhart resident, Ken Bibby (telephone 781478), is keen to hear from anyone in the village or nearby who uses Brogan Fuel Discount Scheme and who has a record of fuel costs. He would like to make  some price comparisons. He would be glad if you could give him a ring.

 

There are plans to introduce a 50 mph speed limit on the A91 between Tillicoultry and Dollar and between Dollar and Muckhart. To view the Trafic Regulations Order, go to  www.clacksweb.org.uk/transport/roadorders/?order=386 . The order was proposed on 18th August 2011 and made on 6th October. Objections must be made within 6 weeks of 21 October.

 Glenquey Quarry (the date has changed again!)

 Malcolm Best continues to keep us informed, and has emailed to say that the two planning applications concerning Glenquey Quarry are not on the agenda of PKC Planning Committe Meeting to be held on Wednesday 18th January 2012; the next meeting will be held on Wednesday February 15th 2012.

Traffic Management in and around Muckhart. Details and maps on Community Council Page. (At the Muckhart Community Council meeting on 1st June, it was proposed that the 40 mph limit be extended westwards along the A91 to the start of the Cowden bends and that Clackmannanshire Council should cooperate with PKC over a 40 mph limit on the A823 starting north of the junction with Golf Course Road and continuing through Rumbling Bridge to the A977).

Important changes have been made to the Emergency and Minor Injury Services across the Forth Valley. Go to the Local Information page for details. 

Wind Prospect, the wind farm company which was successful in securing planning permission from Clackmannanshire Council for the 13 turbine wind farm at Burnfoot Hill in the Ochils north of Tillicoultry, wishes to increase the number of turbines by up to 22, making a possible total of 35. For a map of the planned extension, click on Burnfoot Wind Farm Development.

Muckhart Conservation Area Appraisal. The latest version of the appraisal document is now available on Community Council Page. 


Planning Applications have been submitted for the erection of one house at the Coach House, Mosspark (Ref 11/00124/FULL) and for the demolition of the existing house and the erection of a replacement house at Rowberrow, Drumburn Road (Ref 11/00096/FULL). It was agreed at the meeting on 1st June that the Community Council would support the application for the erection of a house close to the Coach House at Moss Park provided a way could be found by the Council to ensure that the new property was ancillary to the Coach House and that it cannot, at some future date be sold separately from the Coach House. It was decided that no comment would be made on the application ref: 11/00096/FULL.
